Langdon Hall Wedding Flowers

Langdon Hall’s largest event space accommodates up to 120 guests for a seated meal. Located by the lower garden, this elegantly appointed space offers floor to ceiling windows with a stunning garden view. From May to October, a ceremony can be hosted outside in the venue’s adjoining Summer House, an open-aired wood timber pavilion. Another option for ceremony location is on the garden grounds. A reception will follow on the lawns and move inside for the meal and dance. Many of the spaces at Langdon Hall allow you to use the natural beauty of the venue and customize the space with any additional details that you add.

Flowers in the Event Spaces

When considering florals for your Langdon Hall wedding, aim to enhance the natural surroundings and existing finishes versus completely transform. Also, consider the experience of your guests and how the day will unfold for them. Where will you ceremony and reception take place? What do they spaces need that reflect your style and personalities as a couple? And, how long are you in each of these spaces?

For ceremony, consider a statement design at the altar using the Summer House beams or a deconstructed arch, floral arch, or large pedestal arrangements on the orchard lawn. You want something that draws your guest to where you will stand and creates a picture perfect spot for you to say “I do”. Also, consider having arrangements at the back of aisle or even lining the aisle for an extra wow factor.

For cocktails, guests usually spend the least amount of time in this space. Therefore, keep it simple with your floral designs. A few bud vases or mini arrangements on the cocktail tables, bar and welcome table is all you really need.

For your reception, your floral designs are can be customized to your room layout, guest count, and design inspiration. Typically, Langdon Hall utilizes 60″ round tables for guests and a rectangular layout for your head table, all linen-covered. A mix of elevated and low profile centrepieces will fill the Firshade Room really nicely while still having so much natural light come in from the windows around half of the room’s perimeter.
