Weddings at Elora Mill Hotel + Spa have quickly become one of our favourites to design for. The venue sets the stage for your special day, creating an atmosphere that embodies your love story. It’s a location that encapsulates beauty, romance, and charm. Nestled in the heart of Ontario’s picturesque countryside, Elora Mill stands as a mesmerizing destination that offers an abundance of reasons as to why you should host your special event here. In this blog post, we’ll dive into the enchanting charms of Elora Mill and fill you in on some of the reasons as to why we love designing florals for Elora Mill events.
The Charm of Elora Mill Hotel + Spa
With a history dating back to 1832, the Elora Mill showcases timeless elegance and historic charm. The venue seamlessly blends its rich heritage with modern amenities, providing a romantic and refined atmosphere for your wedding. The meticulously restored mill offers a perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury, creating a setting that exudes sophistication and grace. This venue definitely leaves your guest with something to talk about with its awe-inspiring backdrops and natural settings. It’s truly a destination location that provides you and and your guests with much to experience!
When you book your wedding at the Elora Mill, you are provided exclusive access to the venue for the day of your wedding. This means your wedding is the only wedding that will be taking place on that day! Each unique space is beautiful on it’s own, but adding flowers definitely finishes off creating a memorable atmosphere. Flowers and candle light are really the only additional decor that you need to make the space your own. Outdoors, there are plenty of spots to utilize for beautiful photos / video of your wedding party. There is the charming town of Elora, the Grand River and gorge, the forest, the pedestrian bridge, and so many more!
Elora Mill Wedding Flowers
The Foundry chapel is Elora Mill’s ceremony space that’s been newly renovated. It’s full of romance, thoughtful and luxurious details, including timber beams, detailed wall and ceiling mouldings and cropped topiaries. This stunning space will transport you and your guests to feeling as though you have all arrived in an enchanting French Garden! For florals, the design focus is on the fireplace, but also consider the back of the aisle, beams, and length of the aisle.
Post-ceremony, your guests would make their way over to The Irvine Room, where they would enjoy cocktail hour. This space allows your guests to have room to mingle, enjoy a drink and grab a quick bite to eat, before heading upstairs to your reception. For florals here, consider floral accents for your welcome sign, welcome table, harvest tables, cocktail tables, and bar. Also, deciding if you’ll place the seating chart down here at the base of the stairs or upstairs or just outside the reception room, is another thing consideration to make
With the reception taking place in the Grand Room, there is seating for up to 200 guests. Stunning chandeliers, marble fireplace, and exposed timber ceiling, it’s truly a charming space that will impress! For floral designs, we suggest a mix of their harvest and round tables. Also, with the head table in front of the fireplace or on the dance floor as the focal point. The service and food is exquisite, with no detail overlooked as each space is set to welcome your guests!
