Monika and Adam’s classic Ancaster Mill wedding was filled with gorgeous white florals and lush greenery, not to mention the cutest little furry friend. We are always so grateful to get the chance to work with amazing couples and vendors such as this team – Kassia Tjia Events worked her magic organizing all of the details for Monika and Adam’s special day, while Lisa Catherine Photography captured the day perfectly!
The Ceremony
Monika and Adam held their ceremony at Ancaster Mill’s outdoor, stream-side chapel. The white, textural, and greenery ceremony floral designs paired well with this private green space. The couple chose to line the aisle with whimsical meadow arrangements. We also put large pedestal arrangements on either side of the venue’s pergola. The cutest moment for us was the inclusion of the couple’s dog during the ceremony itself! Although we rarely get to meet your furry friends the day of, it is always so special when we see them being included.
The Flowers
The flower arrangements feature all different kinds of white flowers and texture. There is a variety of roses, hydrangea, veronica, lisianthus, astilbe, ranunculus, sweet pea and delphinium. To achieve a classic garden style, we then compliment the white flowers with a mix of greenery, including italian ruscus, seeded eucalyptus, salal and ferns.
The Reception
The reception was held in Ancaster Mill’s Governor’s Room. All of the aisle ground arrangements from the ceremony were transferred to the head table to create a lush tablescape. The large pedestal arrangements that were at the altar were transferred behind the head table to frame the newlyweds. When we plan your wedding flowers, how we can re-purpose your ceremony flowers into the reception space is always considered to see how we can maximize their purpose. Sometimes, logistics or timings do not permit this, but whenever we can do it, we will!
