The Flowers

The bride and groom said “I do” at the Basilica of Our Lady in Guelph, Ontario, followed by portraits with Ariana and Alex. The lush florals included white o’hara garden roses, brownies sweet pea, ranunculus, and peonies, with tweedia and delphinium for a pop of blue. One way to build dimension and visual interest in your reception design is to incorporate different styles of floral arrangements. The mix of compotes, elevated arrangements, and bud vases helps to create a cohesive, uniform look without everything having to be the same.

The Reception

Taking a step back after completing this set-up was truly magical moment. Every little detail came together so perfectly and transformed the ballroom completely. From the photos, we can tell how much love was surrounding them on their special day and that the couple and their guests know how to have a good time! Celebrate with champagne tower, good food, and night full of dancing is what it’s all about. Still in awe over how great all of the photos from Ariana and Alex turned out! Truly one for the books!

The Walper Hotel is a historic boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Hamilton, Ontario. Known for its elegant architecture and charming atmosphere, it makes for a stunning venue for weddings. This was our first time designing for this venue, and let’s just say we will definitely be back! The Walper Hotel ballroom is truly a blank slate allowing you to customize it however you want, but it retains that old world charm with its chandeliers, hardwood flooring, and moulding.
